'I'm In It To Win It': Charlotte Crosby Is Newly Single, Ready To Mingle And Heading Into Camp

One of reality TV’s biggest names is trading the Geordie Shore for jungle life.

After being chased to join ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ for years, the 29-year-old finally relented, and is bringing her signature style into the camp. And she told 10 daily she’ll do anything to take out the title of Queen of the Jungle.

“I’d been asked a couple of years in a row, and in my head, it was just an automatic no,” Charlotte said, “I don’t know why but it just didn’t feel like the right time.”

This time when she was asked, something changed and she decided it was the perfect opportunity, she just wasn’t sure what for.

“The universe works in funny ways, I was at the stage of my life where I was like, you know what? I’m just going to do it.”

Call it fate or call it bad luck but a few weeks before heading into the jungle, Charlotte and her boyfriend of two years Joshua Richie split. Just two months after the split, Josh revealed he was ready to ‘dip his toe back into the dating world’ on the E4 series ‘Celebs Go Dating’.

For Charlotte, the jungle seemed like a much better place to get herself back on track.

“You go through a breakup, get rid of your phone and go into the jungle, meet a load of new friends and have a crazy experience,” she told 10 daily. “It’s like I knew? It’s like back then when I was asked, something in my head knew what was going to happen and this was going to be the best thing for us.”

Before Josh, Charlotte was in a relationship with Stephen Bear for a year, she was only single for about two weeks before she and Josh began seeing each other.

“I’m not looking for a boyfriend,” Charlotte told 10 daily, “that’s the last thing I’m looking for. I want to be single and have fun, I want to date guys and flirt with people and have all that fun.”

“I just want to really love myself before I love anyone else, I think I’ve always relied on someone else to give us that love for a long time.”

'World Famous' Gossip Guru To Rock 'I'm A Celeb': Everything We Know About Who's Going In The Jungle

As January 5 edges closer, so too does the reveal of who will be heading into the African jungle to be the last one to say, 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'

While she’s not heading into the jungle to find the Tarzan to her Jane, the “completely single” Charlotte isn’t ruling out romance entirely.

“Don’t get us wrong, if there are some fit boys in there who I fancy… I might have a neck on,” she said with a sly smile.

“I’ve said all this but I do fall in love really quickly and I’m really worried that if there’s someone in there that’s my type of tea I’ll have to keep myself away from them,” she continued. “I’m going to have to make sure I’m on the other side of the camp.”

Looking for a tanned, tatted-up man with mousy brown hair who’s handsome, rugged and -- of course -- needs that six-pack. But will she find her Mr Right Now in camp? Whoever he may be, he won’t distract Charlotte from her main goal: winning that jungle crown.

'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!': Miguel Maestre Is Going From The Living Room To The Jungle

It's almost that time of year again where a slew of celebs are ripped from their lux lifestyles and forced to take on the South African jungle for 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'

After spending the better part of the last decade on TV and giving her fans access to every aspect of life through her social media, Charlotte is no stranger to reality TV. From ‘Geordie Shore’ to ‘The Charlotte Crosby Experience’, she also won the 12th series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ UK.

“I’m so competitive, it’s so bad,” she whispered,” I’m going in it to win it, of course I am.

“I’m really scared that if I don’t win I’m going to run up to the person who won and rip their crown off their head and say, ‘THIS IS NOT FAIR!’”

Hoping that, if she isn’t able to take out the number one spot, the person who wins is someone she really likes so she could be the slightest bit happy for them, Charlotte said her time on ‘I’m A Celebrity’ is perfect for her. Despite the tucker trials which she knows will push her to her limits (she’s got a massive fear of vertical drops), she was ready to give anything a red hot go.

“It’s what I do for a living,” she said, “I’ve done Big Brother and Geordie Shore -- we’re not allowed mobile phones so the longest I haven’t had a phone was like six weeks. I’m going to be so used to it.

“Take my phone away and put us in an environment where it’s completely natural reactions and everything’s new to me, I embrace it so much. It’s where I thrive.”
