'So Sweet': Julie Andrews Speaks Out On 'Adorable' Orgy Scene

Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres to promote her book 'Home Work', Dame Julie Andrews opened up about watching a "wild" scene with her director husband, Blake Edwards, during the filming of 1979 film '10'.

While shooting the flick, Andrews said that her late husband called her to come to the set, but rather than act in her own scenes, he wanted her to witness the film's orgy scene being filmed.

"I think my character in '10' had to look through a telescope and see that my boyfriend, sweet Dudley Moore, was, in fact, invading a neighbour's house where they were having an orgy," she recalled.

Julie Andrews Says Therapy Helped Her Sort Out Her "Demons" And Made Her A Better Mum And Wife

The British icon — known for "Mary Poppins," "The Sound of Music" and "The Princess Diaries" — reflected on her career, meeting her late husband and how therapy made her "a better mum and a better wife."

“He said, ‘Julie, you’ve just gotta come on over here, it’s an unbelievable sight,’” Andrews told the host. “So I went dashing over. Of course, I did. What Blake had done was hire an awful lot of people who really are very at ease doing orgy films, I guess.”

Walking on to the set, she recalled seeing her diminutive co-star Dudley Moore among the sea of naked actors.

“I walked in and everyone was stark naked and lying around, very happily and casually, treating it totally normal. And there was sweet Dudley in the middle of it all and he wasn’t very, very tall,” she said.

“Blake put him between two enormously statuesque ladies and so he was completely naked and these two ladies were naked, but their bums were up here and little Dudley‘s was down there. So sweet.”

She added, "It was more adorable than anything else, because Dudley was adorable."

Edwards died in 2010 at the age of 88 following a battle with pneumonia, with Andrews later describing their relationship as a “love story” during a 2015 appearance on 'Good Morning Britain'.

“We were married 41 years and it was a love story, it was," Andrews said. "Success in our marriage was to take it one day at a time and so, lo and behold, 41 years later there we still were.

“I’m still dealing with [his death]. There are days when it’s perfectly wonderful and I am myself and then it’s suddenly -- sock you in the middle of your gut and you think, ‘Ah God I wish he were here’.

“But he is in a way, I think one carries that love always.”
