'That Was The Wrong Decision': Angie Left In Tears After Most Dramatic Rose Ceremony
In a season full of surprises, Angie's final rose ceremony packed an emotional wallop to the Bachelorette, sending home a favourite.
Her road to finding the one hasn't been without its fair share of bumps, but in the final rose ceremony before the grand finale, Angie had to make her toughest call yet.
Spending a date with her final three bachelors, Carlin, Timm and Ryan, Angie had a very difficult decision to make. Giving her first rose to Carlin, the bachelorette looked at her two remaining bachelors and began to break down.
Walking out of her own rose ceremony, Angie began to crumble under the emotions of picking between Timm and Ryan.
"I felt like I could pick, but now I don't know if I can," she told production as she continued to fight back tears.
"I keep thinking of the conversation I have to have when I say it," she said," I feel like I can't do that."
For a brief moment, it looked like Angie was preparing herself to say farewell to Timm -- almost reminding herself of the presence he's had during the series.
"The one person who kept me laughing, it's Timm," she said. "He's kept me probably sane throughout this whole thing."
Ultimately, it was Ryan Anderson who didn't make it to the final, despite his strong connection and knowing Angie from the real world before the series had begun.
Speaking to 10 daily after the rose ceremony Ryan himself admitted he had no idea how the dramatic ceremony was going to go, but that his thoughts immediately went to making Angie feel less upset.
"It was one of those moments where everyone was feeling for Angie, we were making eye contact and somebody asked me after the fact why I was smiling," Ryan said.
"I wasn't smiling, I was trying to send Angie a look to say regardless of who you choose, who you give this final rose to, we're all going to support you in your decision."
Taking Ryan outside for their final farewell, Angie struggled with having to make the decision.
"I can't even look at you," she told Ryan between sobs, "I feel so awful. You deserve someone to know straight away and I don't know."
"I can see how hard it is and I don't want to make this any harder on you, so just know I still think the f--king world of you, I think the absolute world of you," he said.
Before leaving the Bachelorette mansion for good, Ryan parted with a hug telling Angie, "I just wish you all the happiness in the world."
Leaving a distressed bachelorette behind, Angie continued breaking down before second-guessing her decision altogether.
"Why did I do that? That was the worst, why did I do that? That was the wrong decision? That was not the right decision, that felt awful," she sobbed.
"I shouldn't have done that."
Later, on Instagram, Angie posted a message saying she was "speechless".
"I am so incredibly happy and blessed with my final two," she said of Timm and Carlin. "It might not have looked like it in the moment but matters of the heart are never easy decisions.
"Until you can walk a mile in someone else's shoes, remember that."
