Netflix Confirms 'You' Season Two Will Return In December
The stalker thriller starring 'Gossip Girl' star Penn Bagdley will make an eagerly-awaited return to Netflix after Christmas.
If you have already binged your way through the hugely popular Netflix series 'You', then get excited, 'cos Netflix has revealed that season two is set to drop on the streaming service on December 26.
The popular series, which is based on Caroline Kepnes’ bestselling novel, follows the story of Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) as he becomes obsessed with customer Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail), using social media and the Internet to stalk her.
After the shocking acts that take place at the end of the first season, season two will reportedly see Goldberg move to Los Angeles, with Badgley cryptically tweeting in-character that he was "ready for a fresh start".
As for what exactly a "fresh start" entails, it sees that Goldberg will again be pursuing a new interest -- this time with aspiring chef Love Quinn, played by Victoria Pedretti who you may already recognise from Netflix thriller 'The Haunting of Hill House'.
It sounds like season two of the show is stepping things up a notch, with Penn Badgley admitting that filming certain scenes for season two made him "nauseated".
"There are some things I've done with prosthetic bodies in this [new] season that were kind of nauseating as I did them, I will say that," he previously said.
You season 2 will drop on Netflix on December 26.
