‘I Got Such A Kick Out Of Teasing Everybody’: Robot Revealed As ‘Masked Singer’ Winner
After weeks of frantically Googling celebrity heights, the winner of ‘The Masked Singer Australia’ has been revealed.
Wolf, Monster and Robot performed their final, showstopping songs and Jackie O, Lindsay Lohan, Dave Hughes and Dannii Minogue made their last guesses about which celebs could be hiding under the masks.
After Monster placed third and was revealed to be ‘The Project’s very own Gorgi Coghlan and Wolf (aka Rob Mills) claimed second place – Osher Gunsberg handed the very first ‘Masked Singer Australia’ trophy to Robot.
But the biggest moment of all was still to come with the skilled singer and dancer finally taking off his Robot head to reveal…
The US-based Australian singer took out the comp after singing Lady Gaga’s “Edge Of Glory” and commented before the unmasking that the show had given him “the opportunity to experiment”.
The big reveal was momentous in a number of ways but it was a particularly big moment for Lindsay who scored her first, and most important guess of the season.
“I’m literally in shock!” she exclaimed, having previously talked about how Simpson had dated her sister, Ali Lohan.
She had also mentioned earlier in the grand finale, that if it was Cody behind the Robot mask they had “a lot to talk about”.
“I want my furniture back because I bought the furniture for your house in Venice,” she said, although Cody later insisted that it had never turned up and, honestly, we’re going to need an entire detective-based series to uncover the mystery of the missing Venice furniture.
The big win and reveal on ‘The Masked Singer’ comes just two weeks after Cody and Miley Cyrus confirmed they were in a relationship, making his song choice last week of her Mark Ronson tune “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart” all the more poignant.
Cody posted his reaction to the 'Masked Singer' finale on his Instagram page, writing, "Secret's out. Took the crown! Thank you @maskedsingerau."
We’re just relieved we finally know all the ‘Masked Singer’ identities.
