Jennifer Aniston Joins Instagram, Promptly Breaks The Internet With One Photo
Jennifer Aniston has finally created an Instagram account and her very first post was so popular that it crashed the platform.
Kicking off her debut on the 'gram with a bang, the actress posted a selfie alongside her fellow castmates from 'Friends,' Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc.
“And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too,” she captioned the grainy photo. “HI INSTAGRAM 👋🏻.”
The nostalgic snap immediately sent Jen's page into meltdown, with the star receiving so many visits to her page that it effectively crashed it, with some still receiving a notification that reads "Sorry, this page isn’t available.”
“We are aware that some people are having issues following Jen’s page — the volume of interest is incredible!” Jen's rep told Page Six. “We are actively working on a solution and hope to have the page up and running smoothly again shortly.”
Meanwhile, friends of the star including Reese Witherspoon and ex-husband Justin Theroux -- who remains on good terms with Jen -- were quick to welcome her to social media, with Reese writing, "YASSSS!!! Welcome to Insta Jen!!"
Justin added, "Woot-Woot [raised hand emoji] [heart emoji]," adding the hashtag "#first".
Jennifer had previously voiced her indifference to joining social media, telling E! News, "I'm on this couch and I'm very happy to be here, and we'll see what else I get on."
