'I'd Rather Be Single For The Rest Of My Life': Why Angie Booted Jess From 'The Bachelorette'

It was a long-overdue confrontation after Noosa councillor Jess Glasgow made Angie -- and other women on 'The Bachelorette' crew -- uncomfortable with his behaviour.

After being pulled aside and spoken to by one of the other Bachelors, Angie realised that she wasn't the only one who was unimpressed with Jess.

Apparently he had made a number of the show's make-up artists, producers and cocktail party waitstaff uncomfortable too.

"I knew that guy gave me the creeps on the photoshoot," Angie said, "but making other women in the crew feel uncomfortable? That to me is just so unacceptable."

Angie had already been given a warning during the first cocktail party from her undercover brother, Brad, who informed the 29-year-old Bachelorette that Jess seemed to be there for the wrong reasons.

Letting his sister know that some of the other bachelors had heard him say he would refuse a rose if one were given to him, Brad set Angie on a course to her first confrontation with Jess.

Managing to talk his way out of the first hurdle, his on-screen behaviour seemed to get out of hand with several of the other bachelors calling him out for inappropriate behaviour and comments throughout Thursday's episode.

During the photoshoot, dressed as the back of a horse, Jess told Angie he was going to "shake his tail a bit", adding, "Come on, pat the horse's bum!"

Gyrating while she was sitting on his back, and warning her to mind his "wandering fingers", the politician was told to cool it by several of the bachelors throughout the day.

Later, Jess continued to make inappropriate comments prompting Carlin Sterritt to admit, "It's making us guys feel super uncomfortable, so I can only imagine how Angie would feel if she knew."

During the cocktail party, when Angie was not around, Jess made further comments about attempting to kiss her and -- when others made a comment about the inappropriate nature of his remark -- he doubled-down adding that he "doesn't mind" if women turn their heads when he tries to kiss them.

"I've kissed plenty of girls who have turned their heads before," he told the other bachelors, "I'm used to it."

Once Carlin spoke to Angie one-on-one at the cocktail party -- informing her not only of the other comments Jess was making out of her earshot, but that women on the crew were also feeling uncomfortable with his behaviour -- she set off to confront him once again.

"If there is anything in my entire life that I've been super sure of," a visibly shaken Angie told Jess: "I will never allow a man to come in and f--k with my sisterhood. Never."

"If a man can't accept and respect what I'm putting down, I'd rather be single for the rest of my life."

With the other bachelors watching on, Angie continued, calling Jess out for his lack of respect to not only her but his treatment of other women on the show.

"After everything I've heard ... I really don't believe a word that you say," she said, adding: "I don't trust you and I'm sorry, you're going to have to leave."

Despite Angie calling Jess out for his inappropriate behaviour at the photoshoot, on top of him making other women feel uncomfortable, and the way he spoke about Angie and all women -- Jess maintained no wrongdoing on his part as he left the mansion.

"Obviously just a difference of opinion," he said as the limo drove away.

"It was just harmless fun and that's all she wanted. I'm going back to Noosa to find the love of my life in a dirty, dingy nightclub."
