Ryan Fitzgerald And Brendan Fevola Dodge 'Masked Singer' Rumours

Fans are convinced that Ryan 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald and Brendan Fevola are behind two of the masks in 'Masked Singer Australia', and the boys have since responded to the rumours.

Ever since 'The Masked Singer Australia' kicked off, the guessing panel and viewers alike have been going wild trying to crack the cryptic clues given by each of the mysterious masked singers.

Now, social media's latest theory is that the identities of the sassy Prawn and the Rhino are none other than radio host Ryan 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald and former AFL star Brendan Fevola, respectively.

The Prawn

“Everyone is tweeting me at the moment going ‘You’re the prawn mate,’” Fitzy revealed on his radio show this morning.

Co-host Wippa added, “Let's go and have a listen to some of the other clues because the prawn -- and you don't want to give it away and Fitzy's got such a distinct Aussie accent -- they have to change the voice," Wippa speculated before playing the first clue:

"It’s no surprise to find me at big occasions.”

Wippa pointed out that Fitzy has attended events like Coachella and the ARIA’s, saying, “You’re the big event guy, the big event prawn!”

A second clue mentioned that the contestant "famously spent a lot of time around the house," which could point to Fitzy's time in the 'Big Brother' house in 2004. Another clue revealed, “I like most types of music which has come in very handy in the past” -- with Fitzy saying, "I own about 400 band T-shirts”.

The Prawn is also said to be an ex-football star, and Fitzy is an ex Sydney Swans and Adelaide Crows player.

However, fans and judges have also suggested that the man behind the mask could be anyone from Kris Smith, to Freddie Flintoff or Darren McMullen.

The Rhino

Last week, Dannii Minogue put forward the idea that the singer behind the Rhino mask was former AFL star Brendan Fevola, and during his radio show Fifi, Fev and Byron, the 'I'm A Celeb' star seemed to slip up when discussing whether or not he was part of the secretive series... but was he just playing up to the rumours?

“I can't say too much,” Brendan said in response to his co-host’s questions.

"I had so many people texting me, texting Alex and we couldn't really write back because we're under secrecy," he added.

Noticing the slip, Fifi said, "You're only under secrecy if it is you. So what are you trying to say?" as Fev went quiet.

Adding fuel to the fire is the fact that the Rhino performed "Shotgun" by George Ezra -- Fev's favourite song -- and that the Rhino is listed as 191cm, the same height as Fev.

On top of this, the clue that the Rhino “fell out of the spotlight” could point to Fev's controversial past during his time as an AFL player.

However, others are convinced it could be another Aussie sportsman, Wendell Sailor, who also stands at the same towering height and was once embroiled in controversy when he was suspended after failing a drug test.

Other suggestions for who might be the Rhino include Jarryd Hane, Grant Hackett, Quade Cooper, Sonny Bill Williams... and Vulcan from Gladiator.

Either way, we can't wait for more reveals!
