BH90210: Cast Talk About Reboot's Twist In New Sneak Peek
Nearly 30 years after they first hit the small screen, the cast of 'Beverly Hills 90210' are reuniting for a new series, 'BH90210'.
This time around, however, there's a twist.
Described as "not quite a reboot but a show about a reboot" -- 'BH9010' will see the return of several OG cast members as they reunite to get a 'Beverly Hills, 90210' reboot up and running.
"We will play our 90210 characters while playing fictionalised versions of ourselves," Tori Spelling said of the refreshed series, adding, We know it's confusing -- but we like it that way!"
Ian Ziering -- who plays Steve Sanders -- added, "Many have said it's a retool or a reboot, but I think this is a completely different shoe."
"This is something that's unique, that people haven't seen before on television where we're not spoofing ourselves but being open and honest with our true selves," he added.
"It's clever... it's fun," Shannen Doherty added.
The cast added that it felt like it was the right time to bring back the hit series, with Gabrielle Carteris explaining: "We're in really interesting times where people are longing for something that brings them back to memories of feeling good and feeling connected."
"It's comfort food -- and it's at a time at our lives where we need comfort food," she added.
With the series already kicking off in the US, fans are raving about the rebooted show, with many loving the tongue-in-cheek humour and the creative twist on the original.
BH90210 will premiere on Tuesday, September 24 at 8.30pm on 10 and WIN Networks.
