'The Masked Singer Australia': All The Biggest Clues From Episode 2

Six more celebrities took to the stage for the very first time, bringing with them a stack of new clues.

Following the first episode's shock departure of Gretel Killeen -- the Octopus -- we were introduced to six new masked celebrities in the form of Dragon, Monster, Parrot, Spider, Rhino and Lion.

Once again our panel of judges were put to the test as they not only attempted to guess who was under the mask based on their voice but also based on the cryptic clues dropped before, during and after each performance.

The first performer of the night, Dragon performed a cover of Sheppard's "Geronimo". Impressing the panel with his surprising voice, leading Hughesy to admit he "didn't think the voice matched the outfit". Adding that he felt there was a "sensuousness" to Dragon's voice, Hughesy made a firey enemy when he suggested there was "a lot of feminine inside this Dragon".

What We Know:

  • Height: 172cm, Strength: Power.
  • Called himself "the brute" and made a lot of nods to age or longevity saying his world is "timeless and slowly changing", added he has an "ancient gift" and said dragons were here before all of us.
  • When the panel asked how old he was, Dragon said he had "done a few more laps than the average Aussie dragon".
  • Has petrol in his veins, there's 'a lot of power' in what he does which he said can elicit screams of joy or tears of sadness.

The Judges' Guesses: Sam Newman, Lewis Hamilton, Ernie Dingo, Grant Denyer.

You have to have a heart of stone not to have fallen immediately in love with Monster. Petite, but with a massive voice, our furry friend shuffled onstage to belt out Aretha Franklin's "Think". The judges were obviously blown away by the soul and power to Monster's voice, but her clues really threw them for a loop.

What We Know:

  • Monster described herself as being split between two worlds, "with part of me living in the shadows".
  • A great love of horses (which is apparently reciprocated because horses can see she's not a real monster).
  • Her work features "heavy material" which was illustrated by a huge mountain of horse poo shovelled into a sack with an "O" on it.
  • Said she's been working from a young age and added that in her work people just want her to deliver, adding: "We all want to be the first past the post".
  • Spent time in a laboratory or related to medicine (her backup dancers were dressed as nurses).

The Judges' Guesses: Deni Hines, Kelly Rowland, Miley Cyrus, Miranda Tapsell.

Flying onto the stage to perform Hoodoo Gurus' "What's My Scene", Parrot was an explosion of colour, feathers and balls, getting the crowd on their feet. His choice of song led Lindsay to believe he was a surfer, with some of his clues seeming to fit into that world.

What We Know:

  • Height 187cm, Strength: Super Speed.
  • Likes to look good, says he's "not afraid of a cat walking by".
  • Lives life at "high speed", admitting that what he does is very dangerous but he loves it even if others find it terrifying.
  • Has flown all over the world "following the sun".
  • Had "a lot of form on the runway" in his early years.

The Judges' Guesses: Shane Warne, Kelly Slater, Nick "Honey Badger" Cummins.

Slinking onto the stage like the next evolution of Morticia Addams, Spider served up a rendition of Britney Spears' "Toxic" which stunned our panel of judges.

While we loved some of the guesses the panel threw out there, after she had performed, the Spider sneakily revealed: "They're not even like, halfway close to knowing who I am".

What We Know:

  • Height 175cm, Strength: Mysterious.
  • Said she's "not afraid of the bright lights anymore".
  • A writer of some kind, Spider's words have gone all over the world.
  • Possibly from a famous father, Spider learned all she knew from "Daddy Long Legs".
  • Said her family was "instrumental" in making her who she is.

The Judges' Guesses: Amy Sheppard, La Toya Jackson, Sia, Willow Smith.

Singing George Ezra's "Shotgun", Rhino is one big boy set to make an impression. The judges were pretty sure this bad boy had done something in the past to get him booted from the spotlight, but he hoped his sweet vocals and sweeter dance moves could win him back some love.

What We Know:

  • Height: 191cm, Strength: Strong-headed.
  • Was once at the top, but something happened to make him fall out of public favour.
  • Seen sitting next to an enormous pile of chicken wings, sipping a green cocktail.
  • "Hopped from one job to another" which is illustrated by a bodyguard hopping on a moon hopper in the background.
  • Seen sitting alone at a birthday party with a big boat-shaped birthday cake.
  • His greatest success was "the year that Sydney held the Olympic games" aka 2000.

The Judges' Guesses: Russell Crowe, Brendan Fevola, Wendell Sailor, Danny Green.

Lion was the queen of the stage as she sashayed out to belt a version of Panic! At The Disco's "High Hopes". While the panel was convinced Lion was definitely a diva, Linday wasn't completely convinced their dulcet tones meant they were female. We'll have to wait to see who's under the mane.

What We Know:

  • Height: 152.4cm, Strength: Nobility.
  • Mentions a "big island".
  • Entered a competition when they were young that "changed everything" which brought them closer to their "idols".
  • Surrounded by visuals and back-up dancers of ancient Egypt.
  • When asked if they performed in a competition on TV, the Lion admitted "Television has been a very important part" of their career.

The Judges' Guesses: Casey Donovan, Vanessa Amorosi, Mark Holden, Julia Gillard.

'The Masked Singer Australia' airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 7.30 on 10 and WIN Networks.
