Emmy Awards 2019: A Reminder Of All The Major Nominations

The 71st Primetime Emmy Awards are nearly upon us and it looks like it's going to be a big night for 'Game Of Thrones' and 'Veep'.

The two HBO series farewelled the small screen this year and there's a strong chance they'll both continue their historic winning streaks at the Emmys, nominated in a slew of major categories.

'Game of Thrones' is up for a whopping 14 nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, and acting noms for stars including Emilia Clarke, Kit Harrington, Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams.

Actors Alfie Allen and Gwendolyne Christie are also up for awards after throwing their own hats in the ring, rather than relying on HBO to put their names forward.

'Veep' is up for five awards, and Julia-Louis Dreyfus could pick up her seventh Emmy for her role as Selina Meyer after breaking the record for most wins playing the same character last year.

Ava DuVernay's Netflix series 'When They See Us' has been nominated for 11 awards, while 'Barry' is in the running for nine and 'Escape At Dannemora', 'Fosse/Verdon' and 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' are up for seven apiece.

The hostless awards will kick off at 10am local time on Monday -- and we'll be covering all the Emmys action on 10 daily.
