The Bachelor Australia 2019: The Weddings, The Engagements And The Bachie Babies
Looking back at the years of 'The Bachelor' and 'The Bachelorette Australia', there have been a handful of couples who have proven the system works!
From engagements to babies, the 'Bachelor' franchise has seen a pretty solid success rate ever since Tim Robards rocked up as Australia's very first Bachie way back in 2013.
And in the past few months alone we've seen even more updates to some of our favourite couples, whose love stories we were lucky enough to see begin all from the comfort of our couches.
Also, as Punkee's Tara Watson pointed out, so far every other season of 'The Bachelor' and 'Bachelorette' has seen a successful outcome. At this stage, across 10 seasons, five successful relationships have been born out of the franchise with all eyes on Season 7's Matt Agnew to see who he'll be standing with at the end.
Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich
Tim and Anna finally tied the knot in June 2018 in Puglia, Italy after being the very first 'Bachelor Australia' couple meeting in 2013.
It was a long road since Tim presented Anna with a commitment ring in his final episode, telling her at the time: "I have fallen madly and deeply in love with you.
"It feels so good to finally be able to say it. I want to make you feel special every day. I can’t wait to start the next part of our journey together." And what a journey it has been.
Sam Wood and Snezana Markoski
Snez was the first of the red carpet arrivals during Sam Wood's season of 'The Bachelor', and it's fair to say the other limos could have just kept driving. By the end of their season, Sam told Snez he had fallen "madly in love" with the then mum of one.
Surviving long-distance for a few months, Snez and daughter Eve packed up and moved in with Sam. Then in 2015, he proposed. Sam, Snez and Eve then welcomed two new additions to the family -- Willow and Charlie -- and the pair got married in Byron Bay in late 2018.
Georgia Love and Lee Elliott
Our third Bachelorette, Georgia and Lee's story began as most love stories tend to do: with a really good donkey pun.
Since their whirlwind romance kicked off back in 2016, Georgia and Lee (and Georgia's cat Pawdrey Hepburn) moved in together and on September 1, 2019, Lee proposed to Georgia.
Needless to say, the pair have still continued a loving relationship... with puns.
Matty Johnson and Laura Byrne
After his stint on Georgia's season of 'The Bachelorette', Matty J decided to give it another shot -- stepping into the main role of 'The Bachelor' in 2017.
Little did he know he didn't need to travel all the way to the Bachelor mansion when Laura was just around the corner in Rushcutters Bay.
After the season wrapped Matty admitted, "Do I wish on night one I could have just said goodbye to the 20 other girls and go Laura’s the one? I wish I could have."
Since their time on the show, Matty and Laura welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Marlie-Mae Rose.
Ali Oetjen and Taite Radley
Last year's Bachelorette, Ali Oetjen, proves the third time really can be the charm. Returning after appearing in the very first season of 'The Bachelor' and 'Bachelor in Paradise', Ali decided to give it one more shot in finding Mr Right.
And find him she did in the quiet but adorably sweet Taite Radley who emerged as quite the contender.
Since the show wrapped the pair have continued to hold strong, celebrating their one-year anniversary in August.
Osher Günsberg and Audrey Griffen
For years, standing next to our Bachelors and Bachelorettes, offering them sage advice, calming their nerves with whispers of "Evening ladies", the show's host Osher Gunsberg found his own love story.
Back in 2014 Audrey and Osher met when she was doing make-up on the series, and soon they set out on their own journey.
"I think it's amazing that we are the only successful couple from the Blake season," Audrey joked.
Soon, Osher became dad to Audrey's daughter Georgia when the pair wed in December 2016 and the three became four in late August 2019 when they welcomed Wolfgang -- or Wolfie -- into the world.
