'I'm Still Going To Whack You': The Mafia Character Pia Is Channelling On 'Survivor'

Pia Miranda has revealed that her very strategic social game is based around a classic mob movie character.

The actor explained that if Janine's The Godmother, she's The Smiling Assassin, and she's been taking her gameplay cues from a classic '90s mob film.

"I said I wanted to play like Joe Pesci in 'Goodfellas', Pia said of character Tommy DeVito from the iconic Scorsese movie.

"He's just the happiest, cutest person and then, five minutes later, he's like, killing someone and burying the body cracking jokes," she laughed, adding that she "probably shouldn't have said that".

Pia has certainly made plenty of her tribemates feel at ease in the way she skillfully cracks jokes and pulls out her convincing fake laugh -- but has secretly been orchestrating most of the recent tribal council eliminations with her closest ally, Janine.

"You can have a good time with me but I'm still going to whack you," she said of her approach to the game.

"You part of my family? You are my family. Everyone else? Let's get 'em," Pia joked on the beach with Simon and Janine using her best Italian-American accent.

The character of Tommy DeVito was based on real-life mobster Tommy DeSimone, an associate of the Lucchese crime family in New York and -- spoiler alert-- they both got snuffed out.

We're just really hoping that Pia's mention of the character isn't an accidental premonition of her fate on 'Survivor' because we want The Smiling Assassin to keep pulling the strings.

Australian Survivor: Champions V Contenders' airs Monday - Tuesday at 7.30pm, only on 10, 10 Play and WIN Network.
