Australian Survivor 2019: Blindside, Baby! Nova Peris Eliminated

After the athletes alliance fell apart last night, with Abbey and Ross flipping to vote out Susie, it seemed that Steven was on the chopping block.

Having orchestrated the alliance to begin with, and having made Abbey cry earlier in the episode, the newly formed "Fun Alliance" -- consisting of Luke, David, Pia, Janine, Ross and Abbey -- seemed ready to kick Steven to the curb.

In fact, even Steven seemed to think his number was up, telling Jonathan LaPaglia during tribal council that he was "pretty sure" he'd be the one to go home that night.

It all seemed like a lock, until Jonathan began reading out the votes, and suddenly, Nova's name was thrown out there.

And then thrown out there again.

And then it was tied!

And then she was gone.

Now, usually when someone gets blindsided, the audience has some idea of what's to come, because the contestants have had a conversation about it earlier in the day, but this was a true blindside for pretty much everyone, and Twitter had some thoughts!

A lot of people were shook that Bradbury managed to pull another Bradbury and remain in the game.

Some were considering the banana rationing in the Champions tribe without Nova.

Anddddd some felt that she got what was coming.

Australian Survivor: Champions V Contenders' airs Sunday - Tuesday at 7.30pm, only on 10, 10 Play and WIN Network.
