Cheddar The Dog From 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Has Died

Stewart, the beloved corgi who played Cheddar on 'Brooklyn Nine' Nine' has gone to doggy heaven.

The owners of the 13-year-old dog actor announced the sad news via the pooch's Instagram page, writing that Stewart "went to sleep peacefully" after a day of adventures.

Stewart won fans around the world for his portrayal of Cheddar, the dog owned by characters Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Brauger) and his husband, Kevin Cozner (Marc Evan Jackson) on the hit comedy, 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine'.

Stewart's owners wrote that the pup enjoyed a day at the beach and a picnic lunch from In-n-Out Burger in Oxnard, California before he was taken to his veterinarian to be put to sleep. It was not specified why Stewart "crossed over the rainbow bridge".
