MasterChef: This Season’s Sweetest Fanboy/Fangirl Moments
'MasterChef' plays host to a steady stream of celebrity chefs which makes for some incredibly pure fanboy/fangirl moments.
While most people might scream or faint or weep after seeing Beyoncé or a Hemsworth brother in the flesh -- culinary fans are more likely to swoon in the presence of icons like Rick Stein, Nigella Lawson or Yotam Ottolenghi.
Our amateur cooks have spent hours poring over their cookbooks, re-watching their TV shows and excitedly booking a spot in their restaurants -- so meeting them in person is kind of a big deal.
These are the sweetest, most pure encounters with celebrity chefs we've spotted so far on this season of 'MasterChef'.
Ben and Jock Zonfrillo
Matt Preston had gotten about two words into Jock Zonfrillo's introduction before Ben excitedly began jumping up and down in anticipation.
"Little bit of a fanboy moment!" he giggled after learning that he'd be cooking for the Orana chef known for cooking with native Australian ingredients.
Anushka and Maggie Beer
Anushka couldn't believe she was cooking for Maggie Beer in the picnic challenge at Hanging Rock. She explained that when she moved to Australia in 2001, she couldn't speak a word of English but loved watching Maggie on TV.
"The cooking shows were the only ones that I could watch because food has no language," Anushka gushed to Maggie.
"So thank you so much for this opportunity just to say thank you," said Anushka.

Tessa and Rick Stein
In this incredibly pure moment, Tessa teared up when Mr Rick Stein walked through the doors of the 'MasterChef' kitchen.
"He’s just one of those people that really affected me in my food life to go out there and try new food and experience the unknown and to travel," Tessa told 10 daily of meeting her "food hero".
Tati and Yotam Ottolenghi
Everyone was in awe as they watched Ottolenghi make his grand entrance in a HELICOPTER before the street food challenge, but Tati proved she was the most excited about his arrival. During the deli goods elimination challenge, she nervously asked for a hug from her mentor and it resulted in an incredibly sweet moment.
EVERYONE and Nigella Lawson
While Ottolenghi arrived in a helicopter, Nigella's entrance to the competition this year was much more covert. The domestic goddess slipped into the 'MasterChef' house during the wee hours of the morning, surprising everyone in their PJs. Like a wonderful Christmas morning surprise, there wasn't a single contestant that wasn't shouting "NIGELLA's HERE!".
