Netflix's 'Russian Doll' Renewed For Season 2
Sweet birthday baby is coming back!
If this feels familiar, it might be because Netflix announced this week that its 'Groundhog Day'-esque dark comedy starring Natasha Lyonne is coming back for a second season.
Lyonne starred as a Nadia, a woman in New York who for some reason finds herself living the same day, her birthday, over and over again -- often dying brutally before the clock reset.
The show landed on Netflix in February with eight half-hour episodes that were all too easy to binge. And while the show does stand up to repeat binge-watches (ha), the season also felt like it had wrapped up a lot of loose ends, so it will be interesting to see where Lyonne and the team take it for season two.
Lyonne confirmed the news on Twitter with a short video featuring the song "Gotta Get Up" which heavily featured in the first season.
The series also inspired one of the best meme accounts of all time: @thursaconcept, which tweets out the following screenshot from the series every Thursday.
So far Netflix has not announced when the second season will drop, but we can't wait to see what happens next.
