'The Big Bang Theory' Cast Have A Lot Of Feelings After Reading Finale Script
It all started with a big bang -- but the end is nearly in sight for the cast of the hit TV series.
After 12 years on the air, the comedy about a bunch of socially awkward yet loveable physicists is drawing to a close, with the last ever episode set to air in May.
Cast members Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kunal Nayyar, Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik gathered this week for their final ever table read and were pretty emotional after learning what was in store for their characters.

Cuoco -- who has played bubbly next-door neighbour Penny for over a decade -- was in tears after the cast sat down to read through the finale together, posting a photo of herself hugging the script on set.
"Prepare yourselves ... for a finale that has truly given me a loss for words," Cuoco wrote under a tissue-laden photo of her spot at the table.
Courtney Cox wrote under Cuoco's photo that she was all too familiar with the post-table read blues -- going through the same emotions after Friends ended after 10 years on the air.
"Awww I remember that feeling... and you guys have been together even longer," Cox wrote.
Big Bang Theory staff writer Alex Ayers posted a photo of Cuoco having an "ugly cry" on Instagram stories -- with the actor clearly having an emotional moment, yet hilariously flipping off the camera for capturing her FEELINGS.
Actor Melissa Rauch -- who plays Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz on the show -- posted a very emotional shot of the cast huddling together. Rauch paid tribute to her Big Bang family and described how special the experience has been.
"I was always picked last for every team as a kid, so getting to be a part of a huddle ~ let alone this particular huddle has been extra special," she wrote, adding that she'll "forever cherish these moments with my TBBT brothers and sisters".
And Johnny Galecki -- who played Leonard Hofstadter-- paid tribute to the show's crew, with a shoutout to the transportation department, a reminder of how many people have been involved in getting The Big Bang Theory on the air for the last 12 years.
The Big Bang Theory finale is set to air in the US on May 16.
