Dancing With The Stars 2019: Jett Kenny Eliminated In Semi-Final Dance Off

Jett Kenny and Lily Cornish have sadly been knocked out of the 'Dancing With The Stars' semi-finals.

The pair grabbed everyone's attention from the very beginning of the competition with their sizzling chemistry and saucy performances that mostly featured a shirtless Jett -- not that anyone was complaining.

Lily and Jett kicked off their last night in the ballroom with a redemption tango -- the dance that got them into trouble weeks earlier and earned them some abysmal scores from the judges.

“I think it's a second chance, “said Jett ahead of the tricky dance, “it’s game on, I’ve got to step up".

But while judges Sharna, Tristan, and even Craig agreed that they'd upped their game enormously, it wasn't enough to keep them out of the bottom two.

Although at least we got to see Jett dance this jive/tango fusion as a sexy Mozart complete with powdered wig before he left the stage.

After it was announced that Courtney Act and Constance Hall were safe and heading to the grand final -- Samuel Johnson, Jorja, Jett and Lily were left in the bottom two.

"This is awful," said Sharna stuck between choosing between the impressive performances, reluctant to send either duo home.

Craig and Sharna agreed that a minor slip up by Jett meant they were saving Sam, which meant a sad farewell to Jett and his abs.

"I was actually going to save Jett and Lily, " said Tristan but it was too late for our sweet surf lifesaving prince.

"I'm so lucky to have worked with you, " said Lily to Jett, their dancing journey finally coming to an end.

"I've had some nightmares but I've had some really good times," laughed Jett, adding that, "everyone involved had much it that much more fun".

The pair narrowly avoided going home last week -- after Jimmy Rees' sudden exit -- following their quickstep, and saucy paso doble trio with Sir Curtly Ambrose's former dance partner, Siobhan.

Jett had made it through an intense week competing at the Australian Surf Lifesaving Championships, leaving little time and energy to rehearse with Lily.

"I want to commend you for surviving this week alone, " said Sharna during the quarter-finals. "You came out here and gave it everything you got," she said.

And that's just what Jett and Lily did this week, but it wasn't enough to catch up to Sam, Constance and Courtney.

Fans were sad to see them jive away, especially after the leaps and bounds Jett made in polishing his moves.
