The Bachelorette 2019: Magda Pitches Her Own Show With Angie Kent
Angie might be stepping into th Bach pad later this year, but Magda Szubanski had another idea.
Appearing on The Sunday Project for the first time since being announced as The Bachelorette in 2019, our jungle fave Angie Kent admitted she still has no idea why she signed up for the show in the first place.
"What the heck makes me do most of the things I do in my life is beyond me," she said, "I really don’t know."
After her stint on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here just a few months ago Angie said her time on reality TV has so far been a positive experience, so why not kick it along.
"I smashed the jungle and I never felt better so why not see if I can take on 20 or so fellas?" Angie said with a laugh.
Meanwhile, no one is more excited for Angie than her former Gogglebox co-star and fellow I'm A Celeb campmate Yvie Jones who had previously told the Studio 10 crew that she wanted to see Angie on the show so long as she could be her on-air wing woman.
"Angie would be the best Bachelorette because she really doesn't do intimacy well and I think a man would lean in to have a little [kiss] and she'd go 'Pull my finger'," Yvie said at the time.
And while we're so excited to see Angie stepping into the mansion to hand out roses and hopefully find the man of her dreams, guest host for The Sunday Project Magda Szubanski had some ideas of her own.
"I've got my own show planned," Magda told Angie, "Magda wants a Wife," going on to pitch a three-way Bachelorette series with Angie and Yvie.
"Can we do that, actually? Can we change?" Angie said looking off camera to hopefully catch a producer's eye.
Unfortunately for Magda, Angie's heading into the bach pad solo for now... and we can't wait to see how it all goes.
