Shannon Noll Reveals His Favourite Karaoke Tunes

Shannon Noll is all set to lead a nation-wide karaoke session this week on 'Sunday Night Takeaway'.

During the show's interactive singalong this week -- the Australian Idol legend will sing his hit version of "What About Me" with a little help from some home viewers.

Just as Pseudo Echo and The Choirboys have done in recent weeks, Nollsy will belt out the tune and then strategically pause at certain points for fans to jump in and sing the correct lyrics to win cash -- which is honestly how all karaoke sessions should work.

"It's going to be a lot of fun," he told 10 daily ahead of the Sunday Night show.

Nollsy added that even though singing is his day job, he has been partial to a little karaoke sesh over the years --  but hasn't quite nailed the unique format.

"I’m really used to playing with my band but I can never get the timing right with karaoke!” Noll laughed.

Although he does have a list of guaranteed crowd pleasers up his sleeve for when he does hit the karaoke stage.

"Oh, definitely Bon Jovi's "Livin' On A Prayer," Noll told us of his number one pick. "And then [John Williamson's] "True Blue" would be another favourite," he added.

"And Garth Brooks, "Friends In Low Places" -- everyone gets a bit of a laugh out of that one!" he said of the 1990 classic from the US country artist.

Noll's visit to Sunday Night Takeaway this week will see him reunite with his I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here family, Chris and Julia.

Noll appeared in the fourth season of the show along with Jackie Gillies, Danny Green, Tiffany Darwish and Josh Gibson, ultimately coming runner up to comedian Fiona O'Loughlin.

"It’ll be great to see the guys," Noll said of Chris and Julia, telling us that he keeps in contact with some of his old campmates. "I watched the season this year and it was so much fun, it really took me back to South Africa," he said.

Noll has just kicked off a huge nationwide tour but is also working on the follow up to 2018's Unbroken, that featured the hit "Who I Am".

"I’m trying to get as much studio time as a can, I’ve been doing a lot of co-writes," he told 10 daily. " I just don’t want to leave it too long between albums but time gets away from you and having such a busy schedule touring, it can be tricky.

"Hopefully another album out at the end of the year, or the start of next year!"

In the meantime, you can catch Shannon on Sunday Takeaway and check out all his tour dates here!
