The Bachelor 2019: New Bach Matt Agnew Already Has Us Starry-Eyed

Clark Kent, is that you?! The suitor for the seventh season of 'The Bachelor' has been revealed as dashing astrophysicist, Matt Agnew -- and it looks like Australia has already given him the tick of approval.

Following the Wednesday night announcement that PhD student Matt Agnew would be starring on our screens as the latest Bachelor looking for love, social media went into immediate meltdown over the bespectacled hottie.

The super-smart 31-year-old is certainly a different direction to last year's larrikin Nick 'Honey Badger' Cummins, telling 10 daily, "I've got a real 'do it once, do it right' mentality so I'll be making sure I throw myself into it, be vulnerable and enjoy what comes from that."

"It may be an unorthodox way to meet someone, but I think it’ll be a sensational experience and make for a cracking ‘how we met’ story!”

So hopefully that means we'll have an actual winner at the end of this season!!

Either way, the general consensus on our latest lothario is that the Australian public are THIRSTY for the Clark Kent-lookalike, and we can't wait to watch Matt's journey unfold as he finds love!
