Golden Globes 2019: Chrissy Metz Denies Calling Alison Brie A 'B***h'
After viewers on social media believed they heard 'This Is Us' star Chrissy Metz throwing shade at Alison Brie, the actress has hit back over Twitter.
As the stars arrived on the red carpet for the Golden Globes, social media went into meltdown after viewers claimed they overheard the Metz calling fellow star Alison Brie a few choice words while on a hot mic.
Speaking with reporters in an interview for the Facebook live pre-show A.J. Gibson and Missi Pyle, the hosts asked the 38-year-old towards the end of the segment, "[Do you] know a girl named Alison Brie?"
"Do I?" replied Metz, before they point out Brie further up the red carpet.
The footage then cut off, however, the microphones remained on, and some fans watching the cross were sure convinced that Metz then dropped a very salty, "She's such a bi***".
Of course, being in the age of social media, word travels like wildfire -- and the news of the supposed faux-pas quickly got back to Chrissy, who has since vehemently denied throwing any shade whatsoever at Brie.
"It’s terribly unfortunate anyone would think much less run a story that was completely fabricated!" she wrote. "I adore Alison and would never say a bad word about her, or anyone! I sure hope she knows my heart," she added.

The entire mishap seems to have caused a whole lot of confusion, with Vanity Fair reporter Nicole Sperling even asking Brie about the alleged beef in the Golden Globes’ ballroom. Upon informing Brie of the comments, Sperling said on Twitter that she “seemed very confused by the entire matter.”
″But why?" Brie apparently asked. "I know her. I saw her on the carpet and I told her how beautiful she looked”.
So there you go, guys. No beef here! Carry on.
