Playing For Keeps Is The Hot New Show You Need In Your Life
Your newest TV addiction: Sorted.
When Beyoncé said “Who run the world? (Girls)” she was definitely referring to Aussie TV’s newest drama, Playing For Keeps.
Okay, maybe not, but Network Ten's newest addition does set out to explore the glamorous, salacious and sometimes dangerous lives of AFL’s rich and famous -- with a focus on the powerful women behind the men of football’s elite.
Airing on TEN and WIN Network later this year, the show is chock-full of some of Australia’s most recognised faces, including The Wrong Girl’s Cece Peters, Puberty Blues’ Annie Manyard, and Neighbours stars Madeleine West and Olympia Valance.
Network Ten’s Head of Drama, Rick Maier, said of the show’s star-studded ensemble, “This has been one of the most comprehensive casting calls we’ve done. The key roles dictate strong, independent, fascinating women. We think Nathan Lloyd and the team at Screentime have done a brilliant job securing a cast of this calibre.”
Screentime Executive Chairman, Bob Campbell added, “We have assembled a great cast with a blend of experience and newbies to realise this fun, sexy and at times confronting fresh take on the real power behind the Aussie Rules throne: the wives and girlfriends.”
