Miley Cyrus To Headline Bushfire Relief Concert In Australia

Miley Cyrus, along with Lil Nas X, Seb Fontaine and Australia's own The Veronicas, will be performing at a bushfire relief concert in Melbourne on March 13.

In the lead up to the Australian Grand Prix, the one-night event will take place at Lakeside Stadium in an effort to raise funds to help communities impacted by Australia's devastating bushfires.

Announcing the news over social media, Miley wrote: "AUSTRALIA! I’m so excited to announce I’m headlining the World Tour Bushfire Relief charity concert on Friday, March 13th in Melbourne !! Bringing out @LilNasX + more".

She added, "Proceeds from ticket sales will go to Australian charities working to restore forests, wildlife, and communities affected by the devastating fires."

The Australian bushfires hit close to home for the 27-year-old, who was previously married to Australian actor Liam Hemsworth and is currently dating Gold Coast singer, Cody Simpson.

All money raised from the event will go directly to the WWF Australian Wildlife and Nature Recovery Fund, and The Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal.

Organisers said the charities were chosen for their focus on restoration and regeneration of communities, forests, and wildlife.
