K-Pop Star Cha In Ha Dead At 27 In Third Tragedy In Seven Weeks

K-Pop star and actor Cha In Ha has been found dead in his apartment in what makes for the third shock death to rock the South Korean music industry in just seven weeks.

The 27-year-old, who performed in the K-Pop group Surprise U, reportedly died suddenly in his home, with no cause of death established as of yet.

Showbiz agency Fantagio confirmed the sad news, saying that they are "filled with grief".

"We feel devastated to deliver such heartbreaking and unfortunate news. On December 3, actor Cha In Ha left our sides," the statement read.

"We are truly heartbroken to deliver sad news to everyone who has sent lots of love and support to Cha In Ha until now.

"We are filled with grief at this news that is still hard to believe. We earnestly ask for rumours to not be spread and for speculative reports to not be released in order for his family...to send him away peacefully.’

They concluded, "As wished by his family, the funeral will be held privately. We express deep mourning for his passing."

Actress and singer Sulli has been found dead at her home in Seongnam, South Korea.

Tributes for the young star have flooded in across social media, with one writing that he he was "so talented and deserved more time and more love".

Another added, "What a terrible year this has been so far with so many talented young individuals leaving too soon."

The shocking death comes just over a week after the death of fellow K-Pop star Goo Hara, who was found dead in her home in southern Seoul on November 24th -- just six months after she first attempted to take her life.

Prior to that, K-Pop star and close friend of Goo Hara, Sulli, was found dead aged 25 in mid-October.
