Mel B Is 'Upset' That Victoria Beckham Didn’t Turn Up For Final Spice Girls Show
We thought that friendship never ends?
They closed out the final show of their Spice World reunion tour to a packed house at London's Wembley stadium, but despite the raging success of the Spice Girls' UK tour, Mel B has revealed she's "disappointed" that Victoria Beckham didn't show for the final concert.
As you may know, the fashion designer formerly known as Posh Spice chose to not partake in the highly-anticipated tour, choosing to instead focus on fashion.
Appearing on 'Good Morning Britain', Brown revealed that she was upset that Beckham didn't attend any of their 13 shows -- even as an audience member.
“I expected her to come and just say hi at least. Not even on stage, just as an audience member supporting,” Brown told the hosts.
“I don’t know. I’m sure she has her reasons for not,” she continued. “I’ve already said, ‘Yeah, I’m upset.’ I still am a little bit. But it is what it is and us girls, we all support each other no matter what. But yeah, it is disappointing.”
She did add that despite this, there was no "beef" over her choosing not to tour with the girls.
“No [it’s not a rift]. We’re all adults, we all have to respectfully get on with whatever,” she said. “But it is a bit disappointing, let’s put it that way.”
When the tour officially kicked off in May, Victoria showed her support for her gal pals with an Instagram message that read, "Good luck to the girls today as they start their tour! x VB #SpiceGirls #FriendshipNeverEnds"
Back in November last year, Beckham released an official statement regarding her choice not to come on tour, saying, “Being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish my girls so much love and fun as they go back on tour."
“I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time!”
