Is Taylor Swift About To Drop An Album?

An investigation.

Taylor Swift once again sent fans into a meltdown on Sunday after she shared a series of cryptic images, along with a countdown to something that seems to be happening on April 26th -- an album or single, perhaps??

The countdown has also began popping up on billboards around the world, with Twitter users posting photos of the ads in Sydney, New York, Tokyo, Toronto and more.

The singer has also updated her profile pictures across social media to feature an image of a pastel sky and clouds while adding the date '4.26' to her bios, and recently uploaded several dreamy images, with one being a pair of hands wearing several rings and pastel nails, which seems to fit in with the star's new colourful aesthetic featured on her Instagram page.

Swifties -- being the incredible detectives they are -- immediately began searching for clues to decipher whether the unexplained countdown meant, with some super sleuths noting that Swift dropped the countdown 13 days ahead of April 26 -- with 13 famously being Tay-Tay's lucky number, since her birthday is December 13th.

While the majority of fans believe the star is most likely set to reveal a single or album on April 26th, some are theorising that it could be the star alluding to being pregnant, since she looks to be cradling her stomach while wearing both blue and pink nails.

In October last year, the "Blank Space" songstress hinted that she had been working on new music, saying she was "excited" for the next chapter.

“I always look at albums as chapters in my life. And I’m so -- to the fans -- I’m so happy that you like this one. I’m so happy that this means that you like this one,” she said at the time.

"But I have to be really honest with you about something: I’m even more excited about the next chapter.”

Even that statement alone has had fans dismantling the singer's words for any potential clues, with some thinking that the possible theme of the album could serve as a follow on from her song 'The Story Of Us' from her third album, 'Speak Now' -- released back in 2010.

Adding fuel to the fire of this particular theory is the fact that ‘The Story Of Us’ which is 4:26 minutes long, has the lyrics “next chapter," as well as the fact that Tay herself 'liked' a post on Instagram that discussed this idea and the clues supporting it.

Other suggestions by fans include:

  • TS7 will follow an angels/halos theme since Tay seems to be using both terms more frequently of late, calling her fans 'angels' as well as the fact that the word 'halo' is in the source code of her latest logo.

  • A single is set to drop on April 26, with TS7 arriving Friday, July 5 or July 12, since fans have discovered that the star generally releases an album 10-11 weeks after the release of the albums lead single.

  • That Reddit already figured out that she was dropping something on April 26 after she tweeted 115 rainbow emojis -- seemingly randomly -- back on January 2nd. And what's 115 days after Jan 2nd? Yep -- April 26th!

  • That she's releasing a collaboration with The Cheetah Girls (lol).

Swift's last album was her sixth project, Reputation, which was released in November 2017 and sold an impressive 1.2 million copies in its first week.
