The rapper and community activist was gunned down outside his clothing store, Marathon Clothing, in the Hyde Park neighbourhood of Los Angeles on Sunday. He was just 33.
The hip hop icon was not accompanied by his security detail on the day of the shooting, as he had apparently made a last minute trip to his to pick up clothing to gift to a friend who had been released from jail after 20 years so he could meet his family following the release.
The suspect in the murder is 29-year-old Eric Holder, who was apprehended and arrested Tuesday. Police have said the shooting came as a result of a dispute between the pair.
