Cardi B Says She's Dropping New Album This Year

Time to get excited, Bardi Gang, 'Cos Cardi B has revealed she's putting out a whole lotta fresh tunes in 2019.

Despite having a whirlwind year which saw her latest album Invasion Of Privacy rack up over 100 million streams on Apple Music and smash the record for first-week streams by a female artist on the service (she doubled the previous record held by Taylor Swift's Reputation), Cardi B is still not ready to slow down.

Appearing once again on Instagram Live, the 'I Like It' rapper dropped the bombshell that she's set to release yet another album chock-a-block with bangers sometime this year.

"Of course it's going to be an album in 2019," she said, responding to a fan asking whether she'd be dropping a record this year.

Despite not giving an exact date, she did hint that the new tracks could be coming as soon as April -- one year one from the release of Invasion of Privacy.

"Hopefully I can get my album done around the same time that Invasion of Privacy came out," Cardi said. "I don't know how possible that's going to be because I feel like I'm gonna be extremely, extremely busy."

And busy she's certainly been.  The rapper recently performed to a sell-out crowd as the headliner for Sydney's New Year's Day festival Field Day, with fans raving about her performance.

In addition to a new album, fans can also reportedly look forward to the release of a deluxe version of Invasion of Privacy.
