Fans Are Divided Over Paul McCartney's New Auto-Tune Single

Paul McCartney has released his first single of 2019 -- and he's clearly had a lot of fun with Auto-Tune.

The former Beatle's latest song is called "Get Enough" and was co-produced by McCartney, OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, and Zach Skelton (Hailee Steinfeld, Shawn Mendes, The Greatest Showman).

The track -- which is heavy on references to boats, and the sea in general -- features some gloriously warbled vocals from McCartney, who has never shied away from creating ~innovative~ music.

But, of course, when you've co-founded one of the most iconic bands in history -- fans are going to have some serious thoughts about why a song you wrote over 50 years later doesn't sound like anything like "Love Me Do".

"Get Enough" seems to have split fans evenly into three different camps of musical theory.

1. The fans that believe Auto-Tune "murders the soul"

2. The fans that are hesitantly proclaiming they like it and that, well, it's Paul McCartney and he can do whatever he wants.

And 3. The fans that have embraced that we're living in 2019 and have no power over the weird musical combinations we'll be served up over the next 12 months.

You can listen to the track below and soak in those nautical references and ponder whether you have any strong feelings about the use of Auto-Tune by rock 'n' roll legends in 2019.
