Iggy Azalea Is Getting Dragged For Finishing Performance While Dancer Suffers A Seizure On Stage
One of Iggy Azalea's backup dancers suffered a seizure on stage during her concert in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
During a fan video of Iggy's performance of 'Black Widow' on Thursday night at Maracanã Stadium, one of her onstage dancers can be seen suddenly collapsing mid-song before her body begins violently convulsing.
While Aussie-born Iggy stops the show briefly to call out for a medic, she quickly gets back to business and continues singing -- a move which has since seen her cop a roasting across social media.
The "Fancy" rapper later hit up the 'gram to release a statement in response to the scary incident, saying, "Just want to let everyone asking know my dancer is OKAY!"
"The light & heat caused her to have a seizure," Azalea explained. "She is backstage feeling much better." She went on to explain that she "thought [the backup dancer] had just fallen/twisted her ankle."
She added that while it "may sound harsh," performers will generally "keep singing until the music stops" before calling out for a medic. "We are all really shaken up by what happened & just thankful she is okay."
Yikes! Either way, we're glad to hear her dancer is doing okay now.
