Mick Jagger Is Curating Ballet Set To Rolling Stones Music

They've got those moves like Jagger.

If you've ever wondered what the graceful art of ballet would look like paired with the rock'n'roll riff from 'Paint It Black', then wonder no more 'cos Mick Jagger is going to edit a ballet set to iconic Rolling Stones tunes!

According to Page Six, Jagger will collaborate with his prima ballerina girlfriend, Melanie Hamrick, who just finished up her role in American Ballet Theatre’s 'The Nutcracker.'

“Melanie’s taking a leave of absence from American Ballet Theatre until the spring season. The glamorous ballerina is focusing on choreographing her first ballet -- an original piece set to Rolling Stones music, edited by Mick Jagger, with selections from ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want,’ ‘Paint It Black’ and ‘She’s a Rainbow,’ ” a source told the publication.

The performance will kick off in March at the Mariinsky Theatre’s ballet festival in St. Petersburg, Russia, before heading to the US on April 18 at a gala for the vaunted Youth America Grand Prix at Lincoln Centre.

Following its American debut, Jagger -- along with the rest of the Stones -- will begin his 2019 No Filter tour across the US -- which will be the band's first extended run of US shows since 2015.

“When you go out in front of all those people, you get an enormous rush of chemicals in your body -- your own chemicals, not chemicals you’ve put in,” Mick said of the upcoming performances.
