Blink-182's Mark Hoppus Shared Lyric Doodles From 2003 Album And Fans Are Getting Emosh
Mark Hoppus, one-third of punk-pop icons Blink-182, has shared written lyrics in a notebook from the band's third Untitled album and fans have a lot of feelings.
I vividly remember the first time Blink-182 went on "indefinite hiatus".
It was February 2005, and my friends and I were absolutely ~obsessed~ with the band, along with its members Tom Delonge, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker -- as many teen girls were.
Upon hearing the breaking news that the band had taken time out to “to spend some time enjoying the fruits of their labours with loved ones," myself and three of my friends literally left in the middle of class to ugly cry in the school bathrooms because we were so distraught over the prospect of never hearing another Blink-182 album again.
It was all very... dramatic and very year nine.
But let's be real, if you didn't grow up as an angsty teen in the 90s to mid-2000s thriving to "Dammit", "Josie", "Adam's Song" or "I Miss You", were you even really living at all???
Anyway, in news for those of us who did, Mark Hoppus has gifted today us with a big fat nugget of nostalgia over Twitter by posting OG handwritten lyrics from a notebook for their 2003 Untitled album (arguably the last decent Blink album, don't @ me), and fans -- myself included -- have a lot of feelings on this valuable piece of musical history..
It also gives me probably my only chance to use this collection of Blink-182 memes that I saved on my work computer in case I required them in my general life.
And that day is today, I guess?? Enjoy, bye!
