Childish Gambino's Animated Video Features Michelle Obama Hugging Crying Kanye
The video features everyone from Drake to Oprah.
Donald Glover's alter ego Childish Gambino has released another video to get tongues wagging, but unlike his incredible video for "This Is America", Gambino's "Feels Like Summer" is a laid-back bop featuring a famous cast of animated cameos.
The video features an animated Gambino strolling down a street while tons of famous faces all mingle.
Featuring the likes of Will Smith, Drake, Chance the Rapper, Azealia Banks, Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey, Tiffany Haddish, Snoop Dogg, Migos, Chris Brown... the list goes on and on.
The vid also features a weeping Kanye West wearing his Make America Great Again hat, getting a calming hug from former First Lady Michelle Obama.
Some have claimed the video is supposed to symbolise Gambino's departure from the hip-hop community, seeming to mock the likes of Nicki Minaj who builds a castle out of blocks, only to be toppled by Travis Scott. The Queen rapper has recently been a very vocal critic of Scott's marketing, claiming he blocked her from the number one spot via his girlfriend Kylie Jenner.
While Gambino will kick off a North American tour next week with Rae Sremmurd as his opener.
Following that tour, Glover plans to retire as Gambino for good -- though fans are hoping it means the dawning of a new persona, and not the end of the Atlanta star's musical career altogether.
For a full breakdown of every cameo in the clip, The Independent have a comprehensive list which also includes references to both XXXTentacion and Fredo Santana.
