Sisqo Sang The Thong Song At His Own Wedding
"For richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, baby move your butt, butt, butt."
You know how everyone spends aaaages trying to pick the perfect songs to play at their weddings -- and then they end up picking like Ed Sheeran anyway?
Well Sisqó had different ideas.
Yep, according to a Minneapolis reporter, Delane Cleveland, the iconic musician performed his 1999 timeless classic "Thong Song".
What says a lifelong commitment more than the gorgeous, romantic lyrics like "Baby I know you want to show / Duh dun duh / That thong thong thong thong thong"?
Sisqó, whose real name is Mark Althavan Andrews, married his longtime love Elizabeth Pham on August 17 according to US Weekly. The pair, who have two kids together, have been "dating like on and off for a while... maybe 15 years" according to Sisqó.
He reportedly proposed to Pham after their daughter was born in 2014, but tied the knot this month.
There's honestly something really heartwarming about Sisqó deciding that the best way to celebrate his nuptials is to serenade his wedding guests with a treat including the phrase, "She had dumps like a truck, truck, truck".
And in case you were wondering just what "dumps like a truck" means, the recording artist has actually cleared it up in the past.
"What I was really referring to was -- a dump truck when it backs up, it’s like, ‘beep, beep beep.’" He told HuffPost's Priscilla Frank. "So, ‘she had dumps like a dump truck’ is, like, when girls do a booty dance move and they look back at their butt. She’s like a dump truck back-back-backing it up."
According to The Baltimore Sun the "Thong Song" wasn't the only performance of the night with Sisqó also serenading his bride with some members of Dru Hill to their song "Beauty".
We love romance!
