Ariana's New Album Features A Tribute To Manchester Victims

The track addresses her healing process after the suicide bombing that killed 22 people at her concert last May.

In the lead up to the release of Ariana Grande's Sweetener album, which will be released next Friday, August 17, the pop star has been giving fans a hint of what to expect from her fourth record.

Today, she revealed the track lengths of each song, and while this may not look like much at first, fans were quick to notice one important detail.

After telling Elle the track "Get Well Soon" deals with her emotions following the bombing that occurred immediately after her Dangerous Woman concert in Manchester on May 22nd, 2017, fans were quick to note that the track goes for five minutes and 22 seconds. The attack killed 22 people and injured dozens more.

Ari told Elle that the track is about "all the voices in my head talking to one another" in the wake of the attack, and features the lyrics: "They say my system is overloaded / Girl, what's wrong with you? Come back down."

Speaking with The Fader, she said that Sweetener will let fans into her life and the "hard times that [she has] been dealing with for the past year and a half".

She said that "they deserve to know about" those times, noting: "they love me endlessly and care. I don't want to hide any pain from them, because I can relate to their pain. Why not be in it together?”

Ari's actually already shared a snippet of the track on her Insta, way back at the start of the year, when Sweetener was just a dream for fans thirsty for #AG4 news:

In other Ari news, it looks like we'll be seeing her on Carpool Karaoke with James Corden soon, as the pair have been hinting as much with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer.

On the topic of sledgehammers, what happened here? Probably not a sledgehammer, tbh, but we don't know why Ari was "bleeding n smiling" while filming Carpool Karaoke, so we can only hope it'll be in the episode:

One last thing before we let you get on with your day, Ari clapped back at a fan who alleged that she cheated on her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller:

Okay bye!
