How Nollsie Told His Fam About The Whole Crazy Horse Thing
"I explained to them too that I was by no means in the wrong at all. I'd been wronged, and that was the case."
It was the demand heard 'round the country: "I'm Shannon Noll, let me back into The Crazy Horse!"
In a new interview with Who magazine, the singer revealed how he told his family about the meme-able moment.
Arrested for assault outside the Adelaide strip club, Nollsie said that he was upfront about the incident with his wife and three kids.
"I said, 'Look, it's going to be out there and just I want you to know what actually happened and the situation'," recalled the singer, who has been married to Rochelle Ogston for 13 years.
"I took full responsibility for it with the kids," he continued. "In saying that, I explained to them too that I was by no means in the wrong at all. I'd been wronged, and that was the case."
Noting that it was originally difficult to discuss, Nollsie went on to add that he was relieved once the assault charge against him was dropped.
"Lots of people jumped to lots of conclusions," he concluded.
Last week, Nollsie found himself making headlines once again when he was forced to issue a public apology for an expletive-laden rant he directed at an audience member who allegedly threw a bottle at his head while on stage.
Perhaps we'll see his Idol rival roasting him for that blunder, too.
