Cardi B Confirms She's Joining 'Fast & Furious 9'
She's putting the 'Car' in 'Cardi B'.
The "Bodak Yellow" rapper has confirmed that she'll be eating halal, drivin' the Lam' in the upcoming 'Fast & Furious' film alongside Vin Diesel.
In a post on Vin's Instagram, the pair revealed they were on their final day of shooting the ninth film in the 'Fast & Furious' franchise.
"I'm tired, but I can't wait. I ain't gonna front," Cardi said in the clip, "I think this is going to be the best one. I need to take a nappy-nap."
'Fast & Furious 9' sees the return of Diesel and his on-screen family, including Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren as well as adding newcomers Cardi and John Cena.
One person who has yet to be confirmed to return to the franchise is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who starred in the spin-off 'Hobbs & Shaw' alongside Jason Statham.
Johnson and Diesel have had very public beef in the past, but in a video posted to his Instagram thanking fans for 'Hobbs & Shaw's box office, he said:
"As you know, my goal was always, all these years, to come into the 'Fast & Furious' world and help elevate the franchise in any way that I possibly could," adding, "All roads lead to one thing. I’ll be seeing you soon, Toretto."
Diesel's character in the franchise is named Dominic Toretto, so perhaps things have settled between the two stars... as they always say, Toretto doesn't have friends... he has family.
Driving into cinemas May next year, Cardi isn't the only surprise musical performer dropping into the film. This week Latin music artist Ozuna was also confirmed to have landed a role both on the film and reportedly on the soundtrack too.
Meanwhile, Cardi seems to have found herself a home on the big screen after starring in this year's smash-hit 'Hustlers', where she stars alongside Jennifer Lopez, Trace Lysette, Keke Palmer, Constance Wu and Lizzo.
