It Looks Like Spider-Man Is Leaving The Marvel Universe And Fans Aren't Thrilled

It seems as though Spider-Man is set to farewell the Marvel Cinematic Universe after a dispute between Disney and Sony.

Deadline reports that the Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will not be producing any more 'Spider-Man' films "because of an inability by Disney and Sony to reach new terms that would have given the former a co-financing stake going forward".

Which essentially means that Spider-Man will no longer be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe family -- and fans are not okay.

One fan wrote on Twitter that the character belonged to neither Sony nor Disney writing that "he belongs to the people".

The news comes after Sony and the Disney-owned Marvel released the highly successful 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' in 2017 and this year's 'Far From Home'.

Negotiations are reportedly ongoing but things aren't looking good for Spidey at the moment.
