The 'Cats' Trailer Is Here And People Are Terrified Thanks To The Cats Having Human Faces

You've got to be kitten.

The first trailer for the live-action adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s 'Cats' musical is here, and in short, it's... a little horrifying.

That's not anything against the star-studded cast -- which includes Taylor Swift, Dame Judi Dench, Idris Elba, Rebel Wilson and James Corden -- it's just that when transformed into CGI cats with human faces and fur that walk on their hind legs gives us major heebie-jeebies in the worst kind of way.

It seems that social media users agree with this sentiment, with many believing that watching these A-listers as anthropomorphic felines is really quite uncomfortable.

It follows yesterday's teaser of the trailer, which showed behind-the-scenes footage of the cast rehearsing. In the featurette, Taylor Swift, who just wrapped her recent tour, explained, “This musical is timeless".

“We got to update it in ways that are so, so great.”

'Cats' comes to haunt your dreams in cinemas December 20.
