'John Wick 3' Passes $180M, Is Now The Franchise's Highest-Grossing Film

'Parabellum' hit the milestone just after just 10 days of release.

It seems fans just can't get enough of Keanu Reeves as John Wick, with the film's third installment officially becoming the highest earning of the franchise's three films over the weekend.

It was also the first movie to dethrone 'Avengers: Endgame' for the number one weekend rank after almost a month.

'Parabellum' has already managed to gross a whopping $US 181 million at the global box office to date, surpassing 'John Wick: Chapter 2's $US 171.5 million. The original 'John Wick' ended its 2014 run with a total of $US 88.7 million worldwide.

Keanu Reeves returned for the action-packed 'Parabellum' as super-assassin John Wick -- and this time he's got a $14 million price tag on his head and an army of bounty-hunting killers on his trail.

The threequel also stars returnees Lawrence Fishburne and Ian McShane and newcomers Halle Berry, Anjelica Huston, Asia Kate Dillon, and Lance Reddick.

Halle Berry recently spoke out on the gruelling training regime she undertook in preparation for her role as Sofia, adding that she broke three ribs while training -- calling the injury "a badge of honour".

“I learned parts of jiu-jitsu,” she said. “I learned how to fire a gun. I had never worked with firearms really in that way before.”

“I became a dog trainer,” she continued. “I don’t have a black belt or anything -- I didn’t get any belt from this training. But I will tell you this: if someone thought they were going to snatch my purse on the street, they better think again.”

And if the latest flick's release wasn't enough excitement for fans, it's since been revealed that viewers can expect even more action, with the news that Lionsgate has given the green light to 'John Wick: Chapter 4' which will hit theatres in late May 2021.
