People Are Legit Selling 'Avengers: Endgame' Tickets For $10,000
Opening night tickets for 'Avengers: Endgame' have already been snapped up by scalpers.
The release of tickets yesterday in the United States sent the internet into absolute chaos, with cinema websites like AMC and Fandango crashing after every Marvel fan in the country jumped online to reserve their spot.
"We want everyone to be able to grab their Avengers: Endgame tickets, but it looks like we've gotten Thanos' snap," AMC cinemas wrote on Twitter, explaining that they were working on fixing the problem.
Avengers fans complained on Twitter that they had waited hours to purchase tickets on both cinema sites, only for the connection to drop out.
Now it seems that the only people who were able to navigate their way through ticketing chaos were some very crafty ticket scalpers who knew just how valuable the opening night sessions would be.
Tickets for Avengers: Endgame are already popping up on eBay for as much as $US10,000 -- which is a whopping $14,000 in Australian dollars.
One desperate fan has already bid $9,199 for two tickets at a cinema in New York City, three whole days after the film comes out.
American fans with a few thousand dollars to spare can also catch the film in locations like Miami, Michigan, Kentucky and Farmingdale NY if they happened to miss out on grabbing $25 tickets themselves.
Luckily, Australians won't have to resort to paying ridiculous prices to see Avengers: Endgame -- with plenty of tickets still available for its April 24 release date.
