Toy Story 4 Trailer: A New Toy Called 'Forky' Is All Of Our Nightmares
Pixar's latest trailer for Toy Story 4 seems designed to make a thousand millennials say "same" and a thousand parents sigh in recognition.
The trailer introduces audiences to Forky, a plastic spork made into a toy by the addition of a few pieces of felt and googly eyes.
"Why am I alive?" Forky asks Woody, a question which could really be asked of any of the toys in Pixar's universe.
The new film -- supposedly the last in the series, which is what Pixar said about Toy Story 3 -- centres around Bonnie, the kid to whom our old hero Andy gifted his old toys.
"Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie," a synopsis from Pixar reads.
"But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called 'Forky' to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy."
Of course, Bonnie loses Forky and is inconsolable, because, despite the many other toys she owns and the fact she could make another Forky in a five-minute craft session, she simply must have Forky back. It is imperative.
Toy Story 4 is released in Australian theatres on July 20.
