Fans Slam Marvel For Leaving Danai Gurira Off New 'Avengers' Poster

Fans were quick to notice one very big problem after Marvel released the new 'Avengers: End Game' poster.

The names of the entire lead cast -- including Robert Downey. Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Brie Larson and Mark Ruffalo -- were printed out at the top of the new promo image.

But the name of Black Panther actress Danai Gurira -- who plays  Okoye -- was conspicuously absent.

"Why is Danai Gurira not named @marvel?" wrote Twitter user @colpetty. "She's on the poster".

Fans pointed out that even Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper) got top billing on the poster while Gurira's name was left off.

Avengers fans began rallying for Marvel Studios to correct the poster and rightfully credit Gurira -- with some even began creating their own artwork to include the actor.

Following the intense petitioning from fans online, Marvel apologised for the omission -- seven hours after releasing the original poster.

"She should have been up there all this time," Marvel Studios wrote on Twitter.

"Check out the official Marvel Studios' #AvengersEndgame poster. @DanaiGurira #WakandaForever."
