Courteney Cox Knows Her 'Scream 3' Hair Was Bad

Regrets. We all have them!

For most of us, our regrets can be forgotten with the passing of time, or at least, deleted from our social media. A bad outfit can be discarded, a bad hairstyle can be grown out, a make-up faux pas can be fixed.

For Courteney Cox, it's not so simple.

Her 2000 hair-don't -- specifically, her teeny tiny fringe in Scream 3 -- has long been condemned as "the scariest part" of the Wes Craven horror three-quel.

“People say ‘forever on film,’ that is really true and it’s so bad,” Courteney told People mag.

“I liked to change her hair every time,” Courteney shared. “I had these bangs and they were cut too short. At that time in my life, I wasn’t the kind of person who would say, ‘You know what? These are too short. We need to get new bangs.'”

Revealing that they were a hair-piece, rather than her actual hair, Courteney went on to reveal that even before they started filming, she knew it wasn't a great look, but didn't speak up for herself or her hair.

“I was just like, ‘Oh, well, okay, oh God, they don’t look great,'” she said.

“In reality I should have said, ‘No, no, no we have to get new bangs.’ I did not stick up for myself and hence I look horrible. That was a big lesson—take care of yourself.”

We think we can all learn a little something from this tale, and in the meantime, at least we have the inner peace that comes with Courteney's acknowledgement of this less-than-ideal lewk.
