Razzie Awards 2019: John Travolta And Donald Trump Both Up For Worst Actor

The nominations for the year's very worst performances are here.

The announcement for the the Golden Raspberry (Razzie) Awards nominees comes just a day before we find out who's in the running for Oscar awards.

Except instead of recognising excellence in the dramatic arts, the Razzies seek to highlight the stinkiest, most god-awful attempts at acting of the last twelve months.

There are absolutely no surprises that Holmes and Watson has picked up six nominations, including Worst Picture, Worst Actor and Worst Supporting Actor. The film was sitting on a rare zero per cent Rotten Tomatoes rating for a while there (it's now at 10 percent, yay!) and scores of film attendees reported walking out of screenings because it was that bad.

The film that featured John Travolta in a luscious grey wig as former mob boss John Gotti has also picked up six nominations for crimes against the art of film making.

"I'd rather wake up next to a severed horse head than ever watch Gotti again," the New York Post review for the film read.

And in a surprise twist, President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, and White House aide Kellyanne Conway have all been recognised for their dramatic and comedic roles this year.

The trio all appeared in Michael Moore's political doco Fahrenheit 11/9 and are up for Worst Actor and Worst Supporting Actress, respectively.

President Trump also got a nod in the Worst Screen Combo category along with his "self perpetuating pettiness" in Dinesh D'Souza's Death of a Nation and Fahrenheit 11/9

Last year's Worst Picture was rightfully handed out to The Emoji Movie and Mel Gibson (Daddy's Home 2), Tom Cruise (The Mummy) and Kim Basinger (Fifty Shades Darker) all picked up gongs.

Here's the full Razzies 2019 list, congrats to all the nominees!
