People Are Still Freaking Out About The Hogwarts Toilet Situation

The year is young but my goodness, how far we have already come.

Last week Pottermore-- the "digital heart of the Wizarding World"-- answered the question that absolutely nobody asked about how Hogwarts students relieved themselves before toilets hit the mainstream.

"Hogwarts didn't always have bathrooms," the website tweeted on the US National Trivia Day.

"Before adopting Muggle plumbing methods in the eighteenth century, witches and wizards simply relieved themselves wherever they stood, and vanished the evidence."

While everyone was okay when Arthur Weasley didn't know what the go with rubber ducks was, fans were less accepting of the idea toilets were once as a big of a mystery.

Meanwhile, others have made a point of highlighting the ~bigger~ issues with the idea.

A possible answer? Ma and Pa.

At the end of the day what J.K. Rowling says goes, but that doesn't mean it isn't all open for a thoughtful and considered debate, as we have seen here.
