John Krasinski Cried All The Way Through 'Mary Poppins Returns'

John Krasinski needed a lot more than a spoonful of sugar to get through the new 'Mary Poppins' movie.

The actor told Ellen DeGeneres that he went through a handful of napkins and a whole tissue box before wiping some supercalifragilisticexpialidocious snot all over his sleeves during his wife Emily Blunt's performance in the new Disney film.

Krasinksi said he was unaware that Mary Poppins Returns  -- which also stars Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda -- was going to absolutely destroy him emotionally, and kindly rejected the offer of a tissue box at the preview screening.

"I was like, 'Oh that's very nice [but] I don't have a cold," he said, before being overcome with tears just 25 minutes into the movie.

He added that Blunt -- who plays the titular role that Julie Andrews first brought to life in 1964 -- thought he hated the movie when she saw him running to the back of the room in search of any scrap of material to stem the flow of Poppins tears.

"I was pushing through all the bagels and muffins that were in the back looking for napkins. I was like, 'I need anything to stop this crying!' I was crying so much! I blew through the tissue box in 20 minutes," the A Quiet Place actor said.

"I had to go to the napkins, and then when I ran out of the napkins, it was all sweater," the actor continued. "Just a lot of [wiping my eyes and saying], 'Oh, it's so beautiful!'"

So, fair warning if you're planning to watch Mary Poppins Returns when it hits cinemas on New Year's Day 2019 -- bring a ton of tissues.
