The 'Toy Story 4' Teaser Trailer Has Officially Dropped
Eight years since we bid farewell to Andy in 'Toy Story 3', the gang are back for their next adventure in a teaser trailer for 'Toy Story 4' that was released earlier today.
While the teaser is light on details of the highly-anticipated film, we did meet a new character -- Forky!
Apparently, Forky is a plastic spork that got a makeover in a crafternoon project and is seemingly in denial about being a toy like the rest of the crew.
"Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that's Andy or Bonnie," the official synopsis read.
"But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called Forky to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy."
The teaser shows all our faves -- including Buzz, Woody, Jessie, Mr and Mrs Potato Head and more -- holding hands in a circle.
We then get our very first look of Forky.
"I don't belong here!" the utensil cries. He then unleashes his pipe cleaner hands and runs off, leaving the others to tumble over one another.
Fans are already beyond excited over the trailer -- with many thrilled for the arrival of the dinner apparatus-turned-toy.
The first look at the upcoming flick comes after Tom Hanks -- the voice of Woody -- revealed on BBC's The Chris Evans Breakfast Show that he actually had to turn away from the rest of the cast while filming the final scene.
"The way you record ‘Toy Story,’ you’re in a room with the team that has created it,” he said. “When I went in for my last day of recording, I wanted to have my back to them, because usually, you’re facing him so you can look right up and you can talk about it. But I didn’t want to see them and I wanted to pretend they couldn’t see me. When I realised what they were going for, I realised, ‘Oh, this is a moment in history.'”
Tim Allen -- who voices Buzz Lightyear -- also described the end of the film as "emotional", saying that "a couple of scenes toward the end were really hard to get through.”
Well, that's an emotional snake in my boot.
Toy Story 4 hits Australia cinemas on June 20, 2019.
